Rick and Rick's fans: I love S&M's chinos but they do shrink. What are your most efficient ways of getting them down to a stable length before hemming? An initial warm wash? Tumble dry (so help me)? What should I do so I don't end up with post-hemming shrinkage? I've got three pair of the lightweight chinos on the way so this is not merely of academic interest.
@mlstein I usually do two warm wash hang dry cycles before taking them to the tailor.
If you'll ever machine dry them (or if someone else might-- accidents happen), I'd machine dry them twice before getting them tailored. Drying will shrink fabric more than warm or even hot water.

Hello! I'm looking to place my first Spier & MacKay purchase and was wondering if anyone had a referral code. Their Navy Hopsack blazer looks great, and I'm ready to dive in and make the investment.

Any help with the referral code would be greatly appreciated!
