Sorry for my late answer due to my vacation.

I don´t know the weight of the leather per m². But the weight of the bag is 2,6 kg (5,7 lbs). Which is quite heavy.
But trust me, this bag is made to last a lifetime. It is build really tough.

The finish of the leather has a bit of a sheen. Nothing to fancy, just to bring out the color a bit more.
