Hello. I'm ordering for the first time from Spier Mackay and would appreciate help in regards to size.

I'm 6'4. Chest: 44.5", Sleeve: 36", Waist: 39".

I'm ordering a couple of jackets and shirts and am thinking size 44L contemporary jacket and then perhaps having the waist taken in, and a size 16.5 shirt with a 36" sleeve? What are your opinions?

Do the high rise flannel trousers come extra long like ones from Suit Supply and therefore allow one to have turn ups made?

*edit* I see that i can have the trousers hemmed and read on here that I can ask them to add turn ups. I'm 38" at the hips and 36 " at the waist. What size would you recommend in contemporary fit?

All the best,

Hafdisarson

I'm the same size as you, but a little less than two inches smaller in the waist. 44L works well and I've never bothered to take in the waist, although it is a bit roomy.

Does anyone know the difference between the new lightweight chinos and the older cotton dress chinos? Is the first less tailored than the other?
The lightweight chinos are a typical casual chino that you can dress up or down. They are more in S&M’s casual line and not all the dressier accents.
I don’t own a pair, but I believe the dress chinos come unhemmed at 37” and have more of a shine to them

Has anyone made a custom shirt order with custom collar specs?

If yes, were you happy with the results? Any pictures?

Yes, there are 4 new patterns we have seen. They have all been shown on IG as that is where most of the teasers come from. 3 of them were in stories so no longer visible, one of them is a post so can easily see it

Thanks for the reply. Found the teaser on IG and it looks great. Very curious to see the others, so it's a bummer they were a story. Still, I know I can add at least one more shirt to the rotation.

I didn't even know you could specify custom collar specs
I've done it. I used the C22 collar and put the below changes in to try and mimic the Roma BD collar from Proper Cloth. You can put your changes in the customer comments section. Please with the results. But like anything I customize, there's usually something that I wish I had done slightly differently.

"If possible, on the collar, I would like the following dimensions: 4" collar points, 4" spread, 1 7/16" front collar band height, 1 9/16" rear collar band height, 1/4" tie space, stiff fused interlining."

Has S&M teased out all its S/S tailoring options at this point? Some real killers already, to be sure.

Also, S&M team, if you're amenable to suggestions for next season, PLEASE carry the lightest grey Minnis Fresco (ideally with jetted pockets) in the classic weight in Neo. I'll buy two.

Interesting, never knew this!
I'll have to do this now

I have the caramel and since they were my very first cords, I kinda liked that dull/matte look but they look great IMO. Already considering getting the tan and cream ones.

Those are some handsome looking trousers, thanks for taking the time to link me the images. Incredibly helpful, I will be going for the Carmel colour.

Dusty cords look better than shiny ones IMO, which are a lot of the brisbane moss cords.

The appeal of corduroy is the awesome casual texture. Sheen takes away from that and leans it towards velvet.

A great point I never considered, thank you!

Thank you for answering me. I just measured myself again now upon awakening and at the hips and waist I'm 38" and 36" respectively. What size trousers would you recommend?
