Do You Consider Sustainability When Purchasing Clothes?

Do You Consider Sustainability When Purchasing Clothes?

  • Always - Sustainability is a top priority in all my clothing purchases.

  • Often - I frequently consider sustainability, but it isn't the main factor in my decisions.

  • Rarely - I seldom consider sustainability when purchasing clothes.

  • Never - Sustainability is not a factor I consider in my clothing choices.

From what point of view? Will it last a long time? That's important to sustainability, right? Was it made with "sustainable materials"? Sometimes it's impossible to know if a maker uses sustainable materials. Was it made locally (or perhaps in a "short" supply chain with locally sourced materials)? All other things being equal, the most sustainable way to dress is probably to buy used clothing or just wear what you've got.

Other than like underwear, I only buy second hand because there's already enough clothes out there and lots of it is well taken care of (especially the good stuff) so it's hard to justify paying up for new with the additional resource strain
