which two do you have, i have been thinking whether i should go with a spring drive model or a mechanical. the power indicator on the SD somewhat bothers me (I really hope they make one without it in the future) however i really like the smooth sweeping second hand on the SD watches.

One mechanical, one SD. The chrono on the SD was always going to be a bit busy, and I rather like the power reserve! PR do work well on some models - see my IWCs:

I realize how many stacks that F.P Journe is, but it does nothing for me aesthetically.


Are you mad? That Belle Époque styling makes me sweat when I look at it.

Thanks for the kind words. The original watch being a pilot's watch was designed to be used with gloves,so this harks back to the original watch :) It makes for easy winding and IMO is one of the defining features of the big pilot
