I think I mentioned somewhere that I am a herringbone skeptic for spring+summer - it feels too tight of a weave.
I can also share that I am a Pepper Lee skeptic - US$61 shipping for fabric swatches is something they are going to need to solve.
Draper's.

This URL seems to reliably work at the time of posting for viewing all so described as red or pink.

A hairy FW option. I am looking for SS options
Keep searching…..Status update: I bought a SC length of the pale pink W/S/L sharkskin during Pepper Lee's year end sale. It is definitely a candidate - for some reason as a swatch it seems to have a hint of peach to me, but it renders more pure pale pink as a length.
Meanwhile, Loro Piana seems to have added more books online: Cruise
From their "Cruise" book, 52 silk / 48 cashmere 220gm/m^2 N746023. I am not sure if I love the texture here - seems almost too mechanical, as if all the horizontal slubs are on the 5th thread pass vertically, or some such.
In the white/ivory tone, the same slub pattern shows, but in this tone:
N746024 it isn't as pronounced at all. N746026 also doesn't have it - that is a nice mid toned violet with a hint of grey, which would be a topic for a different questionable taste thread.
This book has some herringbones:
49 W / 30 S / 21 L at 240 g/m^2 , N746031
And some tartans:
52 silk / 48 cashmere 220g/m^2 N746002

I happened to check the Cruise bunch out about 2 weeks ago. I really liked the lighter pink option you showed as a cool summer dinner jacket option, and the darker pink and purple ones you mentioned/showed for sport coats. I didn’t notice the repetition of weave issue you mentioned, but will have a look again when I see the bunch again (I agree that if it’s TOO regular, that’s not ideal). Prices for a jacket from this bunch weren’t outrageous from this particular tailor, so I think something from here will eventually find its way to “funded” with me.Status update: I bought a SC length of the pale pink W/S/L sharkskin during Pepper Lee's year end sale.
