I thought the only change to the lapels was the gorge being dropped.
They look good to me anyways.
I could be wrong. It could be the camera angles on the FW ‘20 drops. I’m just hoping they’re consistent with what they did for FW ‘19.

I hope they're smaller. Everyone's doing large lapels because of trend but not everyone looks good with them. All about proportions.

Spier I think does a great job proportioning the lapel size according to the jacket size. As someone who is about ~5'9 135lbs, the 8cm lapels on the SC I got months back is my ideal size. I got a "trend" skinny lapel and it just looked comical to me.

Looks like S&M did a small restock for a few things I wanted in my size, and most of them being sale items, so you know I had to buy them with some other things. Thought I was done spending until FW20 lol

Hoping to get some quick advice on fit, please

This is their navy hopsack jacket in their non-Neapolitan cut. Sleeves to be shortened but can't figure out what is going with the shoulders with the dimpling?

Two things to check:
-is jacket perhaps too wide in shoulders?
-is jacket perhaps too tight through chest (which distorts the armholes)
both of these can cause the shoulder dimples
thats all I got

Extended shoulders often don't cause dimples and should drape cleanly. I don't think that's what's causing this. It looks to me like either the upper back/chest is too tight or the sleeve pitch doesn't work for your build. I suspect a tailor could diagnose the issue and letting out the upper back shouldn't be an expensive alteration.

Shoulders look to be big on you.

Thanks! I'm leaning towards the shoulder width causing this. A bummer as I'm thinking of returning it now.

Is there a difference in the shoulder structure between this and their Neapolitan? Shoulder width is 0.2 inch larger on the Neo and I find that my Neo jacket doesn't do this.

Thanks! That is a great suggestion, I will look into doing that before I consider a return.
