This kind of design is always available come SS if I'm not mistaken. Either in Minnis fresco or Drago hopsack or Guabello hopsack or all three. I expect nothing less this SS.

No, not a fan of linen for aesthetic reasons. I can't stand the wrinkles and the casual nature of the fabric. Purely subjective of course, and I'm aware that I'm in a minority regarding this. But I don't like linen. Especially not for suits. As for SCs, 30 % linen is the absolute maximum I can stomach, otherwise the jacket will wrinkle too much.
Hope so. I'm itching for a neo-cut with patch pockets in navy fresco, hopsack etc and hoping they release them soon. I've been eyeing a navy VBC suit from Natalino, but am unfamiliar with their sizing/cuts and really do prefer the SM neo-cut and high-rise.

For any items that are found to be significantly off-spec or outside of our tolerances, we will work with you to resolve the issue.

Thanks for replying and clarifiying some things. RE: the quoted above; if I order a sweater in Fall 2022 and it fits great and order another sweater in Spring 2023 and it does not fit similarly to Fall 2022, would returns be considered free? It's the changes in fit from one item to the next that I am most concerned about. High volume apparel companies know that not every product leaving the factory will come out the same size and this benefits customers in getting the best fit. Free returns here benefits the customer mostly but it keeps them happy and makes them a return customer.

Is this red label supposed to be higher or lower end?
And have you guys looked at its chart? Am I the only one annoyed by the increasing shoulder width between their models? The only measurement that can’t be tailored. For 38 jackets now talking >18 inches is just extreme. It was increased from regular to Neapolitan to neo to red label. If they apply this to across the board, I won’t be able to buy from them as. I can’t justify their MTO prices

Lower end. There was an email that was sent today saying essentially that with inflation people need sharper pricing...thus red label. Looks to be priced 10-20% lower than their other suits (at full price, anyways).

I suspect this is their attempt to get more "non-menswear enthusiast" people into Spier suits. If anything, the contemporary fit on the red label is more forgiving for most people, especially at the larger sizes. It'll make first-time Spier suit purchases for the average suit-wearer easier. All things considered they'll probably see less returns on the red label suits this way.

The slightly wider shoulders is one of the best things about S&M's jackets and suits in my opinion. A lot of brands have really narrow shoulders. I don't think 18" on a size 38 is extreme at all. In fact, it's close to the minimum width as far as I'm concerned (I wear 38 contemporary). They could easily add another half inch at least and still not be particularly wide on me.

That being said, I don't think the wider shoulders on the red label suits is a conscious decision to increase that measurement in particular. It's probably just due to the shoulder padding.

the relatively narrower shoulder is what got me into sm. I have narrow shoulders and could never find jackets that fit off the rack, so I was getting all customs made to measure things. What are the companies you referred to? Suit supply has 17.5, and proper cloth has 17.8. Any other suggestions for <18?

just wanted to share my personal experience for the contemporary fit high-rise off-white jeans.

it's closer to stark white than ecru, but that doesn't bother me (and makes them a little more versatile with lighter blue jackets).

the fabric is a great weight—should be wearable in the warmer months, but any lighter and it'd be too see-through. one of my big issues with Sid Mashburn's almost-perfect natural jeans is the fabric is just too heavy to wear June-September here.

My other issue with Sid jeans (which have been my go-to recommendation for jeans) is the taper is just too much. Size-for-size, the Spier contemporary hem opening is about around 5/8 inch wider. I'm measuring the hem width on my size 36's as a hair over 8 inches, which is within the 1/2-inch tolerance they cite on the size chart.

Anyway, the fit is perfect and I'm thrilled with them especially at this price—the other options are $175 or more. Just sharing my experience.
What size do you wear in regular trou from them vs what jean size? I wear a 31 Levi's 501 but I know that's super vanity sized and stretchs like crazy. Trying to decide here. I typically wear a 32 or 33 contemporary from spier in dress pants

Sounds like Cavour should be pretty spot on for you. Their Mod 2 pattern is very comparable to Spier's Neo cut except for narrower shoulders. Their measurements chart claims 17,5" on a size 38, but they feel narrower than SuSu to me.

Out of curiosity, what's your shoulder width?
