Interesting, looks like they're doing side tab trousers without a pleat this season. They haven't done that before right? I think I prefer a pleat with side tabs, but could be convinced...

I have a couple of the sondrio cotton/linens with flat front, side tabs and enjoy them as well. In some cases I think just sizing up for a higher rise rather than actually purchasing the 'high rise' version has worked out better for me. It is very fabric, season dependent. Also, I just change my mind constantly about what feels right so what do I know.

Welp, camel Ulster appears to fix my complaint about the length of the DB camel overcoat, looks like that's going to be an insta-buy
By the photo, it does look longer, but I don't see a size/fit chart for the ulster coats to confirm. Do you know the length difference?

I do agree that the longer the better. I love my wool DB, but a longer version of same would be welcome

Does anyone have photos of the Moon Green Shetland? It says it was made a previous season, so curious how the colour and depth looks irl

That cashmere ulster coat looks basically like a longer version of the polo coat, but with different lapels?

I'm on board

This is the first S&M outerwear piece that I’ve liked, at least from the model photos.

Have found other pieces from earlier seasons to be generally too snug and trim looking for my taste.

Hmm, I'm not sure the cut will be much different compared to the other ones.

What I posted was a teaser from their website, so we'll find out eventually.

Finally got the green Aran crewneck. First impression: dam she heavy. Fit is a half size bigger than I expected, though I like slimmer fits for knits.

But because of the heavy weight of this sweater, unsure if I'll keep it... It's really nice. But I just wanted something to layer on and lounge in.

It does make my decision to skip the Aran turtleneck much easier.

Yes, the heavier knits fit bigger due to the heaviness of the wool. If you were just looking for something to throw on, the chunky cardigan is your best bet if you don't have one already. Though, that one is even heavier lol

I wonder how easy it is to shorten the sleeve with those cuffs there. Anybody know about that? Also I hope those have back pleats like the polo-coats.

G'day,

I'm a big time fan of Spier and Mackay and have learned the hard way about their sizing (usually runs small), and am now confident to order MTO shirts.

Questions:
Is it usually accurate to just pick one of the normal sizes, and then adjust dimensions accordingly? My 16.5 contemporary shirt fits perfectly, I just want a 17.25 collar.
Is the crowfoot stitch worthwhile in terms of durability? I usually hang dry my shirts, but occasionally stick them in the dryer. If it's purely for cosmetics, I won't bother.
I'm going to try a mix of C22 and C23 collar shirts. Is it advisable to ask for the light fusing / lining in comments as some have suggested, especially on the lightweight oxfords.
How long are these shirts typically taking to get to you? I'm in Australia.
