I think that art-fashion intersection tends to work better in womenswear. Yves Saint Laurent's Mondrian dress, for example (whoops, someone beat me to it!)

I agree. Schiaparelli actually made history with her surrealist gowns. Her creations and collaborations with artists truly angered Chanel. Chanel never addressed her by her name. It was always "that Italian woman."

I still have to learn how to appreciate Dior.

I think Chanel made history when she liberated women from corsets, but then Dior arrived and he did the exact opposite.

I believe the best thing that happened to Yves Saint Laurent (aside from meeting Pierre Bergé) was being fired from Dior.

I have a couple Sol Lewitt tees I got at MoCA in LA that I wear all the time. Now Uniqlo has them too in case you don't want to see any art.

Finally found the painted White Margiela Cuban Heel Boots I’ve been looking for but the heels are too Cuban for even me :wow:

I think I've said it before that the Uniqlo polos are superior to branded ones even in cut. You guys never learn...
The neck openings have been too wide the past couple years, at least in the US.
I didn't pay anywhere near that fyi. NWOT for £20 off Depop :slayer:
Might be fake. There's tons of of fake polos in various brands. I wouldn't be surprised if polos were the most commonly faked clothing item.
Can anybody recommend a good detergent for silk and other delicate fabrics eg/ tencel, cupro, viscose, rayon?
I hand wash in cold water, but am just looking for a milder detergent.

I use Eucalan rinsless detergent for wools and most things I hand wash but it messes with finer fabrics if you leave it to soak more than a few mins.
Is The Laundress or Soak any good?
I use Dr. Bronner's for that kind of thing. For example, I have some jusi (banana fiber) and piña barongs that I hand wash w/ Dr. Bronner's.

Well. It’s not.

speaking of art on clothes, wish I had gotten some of Acne Studios Hilma af Klint stuff from a good number of years back . Not really my style clothing wise, but she is amazing.

The t-shirt in the first pic, upper left corner, with the 'hourglass' is great.
