@bsarosi Here's a top down comparison. Sorry for the mediocre photo - I'm practically hopeless when it comes to photo editing :brick:

Hope this helps, if any at all ?

Our lasts do not have particularly high insteps ;) I feel you will do well in our SG65/DR70 and YC3/BN7 lasts. YRB should work well too based on your experience with C&J 348 last.

Say I find CJ348 too tight and CJ341 pretty good in 8.5 E UK, AM soft square 9F, Chisel 2 9E, which yeossal round last would work

For round lasts, either BN7 or GQ06 would be the best in my opinion for your case. DR70 is a little narrower compared to these two, so if you dig this last over the other two then perhaps you can consider F width.

Can people chime in on their yeossal sizing (like a list of maker last size vs yeossal last size)

I'm a 48 in the SG65, UK12.5 in GG (12 is tight in the instep), 46.5 vass U, UK12 in StC, and UK12 in AS 724 last (12G?, the wide one, in rounded AS handgrade last is roomie). I wear US14 in most athletic shoes and US13 in most American dress shoes.

I have EB and CS, but would have to look up details. They are either UK12 or 12.5.

What size safari jacket would you recommend for someone who usually takes about a 36/38US sports jacket?

Has anyone commissioned a sport jacket before? If so, any reviews / feedback?

Also, shameless plug - we just need one more for the GMTO - it's really a timeless and elegant design.

@jacksomeister Would it be possible to order your safari jacket (Urban Safari with Wide Lapel) with a slight modification to the pockets? Specifically I'd like the "double reversed" pocket style BUT with the flap of the "Saddle" style. Not sure if this is possible but thought I'd inquire.

Additionally I'm wondering if it would be possible to have one of these made up in a brown houndstooth flannel or tweed fabric this fall?

Sorry, realize I'm being very picky and specific here but just thought I'd throw it out there. Thank you!

Our safari jackets fits small, so the general recommendation is to take L for some allowance if you normally wear 38US. Size M might also work if you prefer it to be more fitted.

Thanks - can you tell me what length the standard Large safari jacket is by default, as well as the sleeve length? I expect I'll need to opt for shorter but I don't want to throw out a number that hugely deviates from the standard length and have it turn out that we're measuring in two different ways or something.

Actually, is it possible to calculate how long the sleeves should be based on shirt measurements that you already have on file?

Cheers

Hi there,

The pocket design is possible and actually quite a refreshing idea.
Please send us an email and we can discuss over on the details and your choice of fabrics.

Cheers,

Hi,

You can refer to the size chart for the safari jacket length and sleeve length as default.
Also you can measure the sleeve length from shoulder seam down to the cuff as shown in the picture below.
