The length doesn’t look too long to me. Any reason you want to go shorter? Also post this on the Tailors Fit Feedback thread. The folks there might have additional thoughts.
I’ll certainly post there. I feel as though the length is long compared to wear my trousers sit on my waist. Albeit I could be overthinking it.

I hate to rub it in, but I predicted this months ago.
Introduction of a recurring sale would only diminish the brands value.
By not offering recurring sales they ensure customers pay full price and don‘t postpone purchases.
It’s either pay up or move along.
It’s also worth noting that a sale is used to clear out excess inventory. No need to have a sale if you don’t have much excess inventory.

It’s not really related to where your trousers sit, because trousers could have different rises. Though there are a number of different metrics for proper length, the one I’ve found helpful is this: the jacket should cover your seat.

Yeah, I think they didn't make as much product this year as they did previously. Some of the items I was debating on getting sold out relatively early in the season after they were launched.

Has anyone purchased the Alain Jeans? How is the sizing?
I have 3 pairs. 2 of them are 33/32 I think, and the 3rd is 34/32. They’re definitely a slim fit, but not skinny jeans. I’m also not an emaciated vegan hipster from Brooklyn. I’m happy with them. I like that they selvedge without having the raw denim color and texture. And they also a good price point. My only dislike, and it seems to be the case for most designer denim these days is the inseam. I’m 6’ tall and have a 30” inseam. That’s fairly typical of men. Yet they only come in 32 or 34” inseams despite most men coming nowhere near those lengths. Certainly it’s trending to cuff them up, but I’d much prefer a proper length from the start. If carhartt and wrangler can offer 29”/30” SuSu should be able to tell the factory to kick out a few pairs that length. But as I said, all the designer companies are doing this, so I’ll just have to deal with it.

Thank you! At 6’5 I welcome the additional length but I hear ya regarding additional options.

I’m in Australia, so online is my only option currently. The size chart for these made no sense and their online support chat wasn’t much better.

I’m usually a 36 in the blake/soho trousers so I was thinking 35/34 might work well with the additional stretch of the denim. But maybe I should just go the 36/34 and get them altered locally if needed. I think the price is great for quality selvedge denim so it’s worth the risk to buy online.

They are low rise, right?
I've been on a long hunt for a proper mid-rise (maybe they'd call it medium-high by today's standards), straight/gently tapered pair, possibly in some white shade (ideally ecru), and have yet to find it. Or rather, I have found several (e.g. Drake's, Anglo-italian) but they cost like decent RTW tailoring, which seems absurd to me for a pair of jeans. Was hoping SS could save me like it did for 7'' shorts (everybody sells 9'' and I'd rather not have to hem shorts too), but I guess not.

Regarding inseam, at least *some* vendors sell some 30''s. I wear 29'' (am about 5'7'') so I just have to hem everything. I tried cuffing, but not a fan of it, and only do it with casual shorts.
Problem is, I have yet to find someone who can chain stitch denim here in Rome. People don't bother with it here.
Expensive brands end/or denim specialists (e.g. https://www.sonofastag.com/products/chain-stitching-service) solve the hemming problem by offering their own chain stitching service (often factory-made before shipping) to specified length, but that's not available to me in any local shop that I know of. So apparently if I want a properly hemmed jean I have to submit and spend some 300€ into a pair.

I’d say they’re medium rise. You can bend over in them without showing your ass to everyone.

Anyone tried washing one of the washed cotton Lazio or Havana sport coats? I was kinda surprised to see that the care label says they’re washable, but I guess if they’re garment washed, then that makes sense?

Makes sense if it’s one of their cotton or linen unstructured jackets, but if there is a canvas structure I would avoid! I hand machine wash the SuSu linen and cotton safari jackets with no issue.

I’d still take it to a dry cleaners, because you will need to know how to press it. Pressing jackets does not look easy.

I just realized their new custom order programs is entirely M2M. Even more advanced than most online programs, you can tweak literally every measure, including things like armhole, sleeve pitch, skirt and front panel, etc. At 300-500€ or so for jackets (in EU), +100 for full canvas or unstructured, seems like a great value if you know how to specify all those details and/or can copy a perfectly fitting jacket you have already. I don't though, so in the end it's always down to the fitter if I ever decide to get one (but no store in Rome).

I was not aware that they can modify the armhole. Does anyone have a list of changes that are possible to do with their M2M program?
