I think it’d look great year round. I have a linen/silk and a silk/linen/wool that I rotate into my winter wardrobe. Nobody can tell.

I'd wear it year round if I didn't get cold so easy...mine will be bagged once the temps drop in favor of winter jackets.

Just curious, is there any opportunity to wear HT in Houston even in the coldest winter days? Obviously when you go in-doors, it has to come off immediately.

I live in SoCal and I run hot quite easily. Even last year's green tweed is like a bit overkill I guess for the weather here.

Really like the HT, just too concerned they will be sitting in a closet collecting dusts.

Yep! So, multifaceted answer:
•I run REALLY cold (maybe because I’ve lived down here all my life), so even in the low-mid 70’s I’m wearing a sweater or light jacket.
•I’m the same way that the year round high humidity makes it feel so hot during the summer, Houston can feel much colder than the temp would indicate in the winter. It’s not unusual to have a 10-15 degree difference between the actual temp and the “feels like” temp
•I work downtown, where the buildings create a wind tunnel down every street, making the temperature feel colder than it is in the fall/winter. Harris Tweed is ideal for this because it can block a lot of the wind.

The trick in Houston is layering.

Took delivery of the Stone covert twills today. Soft hand and the colour is not nearly as cream as they appear on the website. Definitely closer to a grey, or light taupe. They’ll pair well with the Moon tweed I just received.

For a guy who always runs warm and who just needs the odd casual sport coat, would the linen content of the Drago Brown Slub preclude it from being a year round jacket? I know linen is a summer fabric, but at 15% is that enough to have the casual observer know that I'm committing a faux pas?

The better question is: Would you even care?

I own this one and bought it specifically because it’s a great year-round color. Because of the blend in the fabric it doesn’t look like a linen jacket (in terms of wrinkles) so it’ll look great in the winter. It breathes a lot so it just won’t be particularly warm in the snow, but if you run hot, then it’s a no brainer - get it.
