Looks ridiculously good if that is RTW any alteratiosn mad if so?
I wouldn't discount Canadian customs officers. They mangled my first couple packages from S&M.

I am 99% sure its custom/ups and not s&m. I live in Canada so I have no customs and my S&M boxes have always been pristine (I have like 25+ online orders since 2020 so I believe it is a good sample size).

Can anyone comment on the difference between the 340g VBC flannel and the 470g Minnis flannel trousers? Our winter isn't very long or harsh in New Orleans so the lighter weight VBC appeals to me but if they won't hold a crease or bag out or whatever I would consider the Minnis.

I have both. The Minnis flannel is famous for its durability. It's a woolen flannel.

The VBC is a hybrid between woolen and worsted flannel. It has the intricate look of a classic woolen flannel with those classic colour variations while still being durable and able to hold a crease well thus still looking sharp by the end of the day. Woolen flannels tend to sag more, loose shape and nap more over time compared to worsted flannels. But they're considered the cold standard of flannels, mainly because of the looks.

The VBC, for me, presents the best of both worlds. Some swear by woolen flannel because that's the classic take on flannel. But personally, I don't appreciate the look of woolen flannel trousers after a day's wear. They almost looks like a pair of pajama trousers.
