Do you wear your chinos flat?

I wear my jeans slim but my trousers fuller. I feel like i couldn't pull off fuller chinos unless I pressed a crease into em.

That jacket looks really long on you and your belt needs to line up with your fly. I love that shirt and pant combination.
Disagree. @TheVirt nailed his look. The jacket length is elegant and the off-centre belt buckle is rakish af.
The photo is at a slight angle so it's a bit misleading, though I do seem to be between the contemp and slim jacket lengths. I also have long arms, so proportions in general are nebulous.

As for the belt, it's a little long and I care more about the length of the free end than I do with the placement of the buckle. As with most elements of sprezzatura I find the most authentic, it's born out of a functional purpose. So yeah, it's deliberate, and things don't "need" to be anything. So I respect your opinion @Shoeluv , but I'm sticking to my guns.

Not really related to anything, but I thought this texture comparison between a 100% linen PRL shirt and 92/8 linen/silk S&M pants was interesting:

Though, side adjusters are always relevant.
dang it. i was going to get those cotton linen trousers in this color and didn't, then they sold out in my size. i'd forgotten but this pic makes me sad i didn't.

Do pockets on this SC look right to you all? I thought they supposed to go vertical, not angled into a V-shape. Edit: they do not seem to be level either.

To address your point about the angle, you are right that the bottom of the pocket should be parallel to the ground. The quarters are cut as open quarters, but they are hanging somewhat closed in the picture. Might just be how you are standing, or possibly too small in the chest, or too big in the waist and hips.
Caveat** - Not a tailor, MTM fit expert, or blogger, but I do waste too much time on SF and IG :-D

Probably the best picture I’ve seen of the ephemeral, oxymoronic Bright Navy™️. Thanks for taking the time to post it for us.
Yeah it's actually very nice! Enough texture to separate it as an odd jacket, and the slightly brighter shade makes it a little more summery and friendly compared to a darker navy. The lighter tone also makes it a bit more approachable for younger guys like me – while classic, a true navy can carry some stodgy connotations in certain contexts.

Do you guys think the difference in shoulder length will visually be that different, from 17.7 to 18.1?

I could order both size 38 and 40 but for whatever reason just don’t want to deal with returns.

My gut is telling me to go with the larger size and worst case (or best case) depending on how you view it is bit of an extended shoulder line.
