Damn I’m torn between light grey and medium brown turtleneck.

Light great seems like a winner and quite versatile. The dark brown is actually the other one I am considering. i like the mid brown and burnt orange but those might be better for cardigans.

Received my first MTM shirt today, I'll be sending pics back to the team for minor adjustments, but it's pretty close on the first go (not sure if I've just gained weight/size all around since the measurements...also I tried it on after dinner). I'm relieved and happy. I worried that MTM would take several iterations - flying to Toronto really cut out most of that and I'm now feeling less apprehensive about the MTM jacket that's on it's way to me in a month or two.

Received one of the hoodies. I really like it. Great weight and quality hardware. Only critique I have is that the tag is a little too high on the neck - it rubs my neck above my shirt. If it were an inch lower it would be perfect. Big fan other than that minor quibble.

I bought 3 merino wool turtlenecks from Uniqlo last year, but am looking to add a dark brown (which they don't offer).

For anyone who's owned both Uniqlo merino wool sweaters and S&M, how do they compare?

Team 3 turtlenecks :fistbump:

Edit- whoops read that fast and thought you bought 3 turtlenecks during this drop..... I did lol

Yeah, looking to join team-3-turtlenecks whenever S&M resolve my outstanding ticket (the website glitched and ate half my store credit...).

Well, my next batch just arrived, including the polos and purple labels shirts.

Whilst the black label shirts are merely acceptable, I do think the purple label are much better and warrant the small premium (although the collar was still very stiff for "unfused and soft" as I vaguely remember it being presented on the site). In fact, I'm now tempted by MTM.

For those who have tried MTM without stepping into the store, how long did it take you to dial in the right fit? What method was most satisfactory for getting your measurements and adjustments across? Did you go beyond measurements and change the pattern e.g. slimming the upper part of the sleeve?

The polos are alright. The cotton, and shell buttons, are better than Uniqlo's, but the cut is very American, the collar in particular sits a bit low for my taste, and there's a lot of bits of thread sticking out in a lot of places. Nevertheless for the $9 each they cost me I'm not complaining. Wore one all day and they are very comfortable. I do think even in Contemporary XL, the waist was quite tight, more so than the shirts (for which I size 16 1/2). It loosened after a while. Is there an MTM option for polos?

My trousers are still transiting in a US warehouse courtesy of EZBuy but at least they detected the delivery and got in touch for reforwarding to SG... phew. I'll write a more complete review of EZBuy as a Spier forwarder for the SG readers when it finally arrives. They have a very generous holding time at all steps of the process and CS was responsive and informative, but I haven't seen the bill yet. Edit - S$11.97 for 1.2kg chargeable weight US-SG :| definitely cheaper than USPS if you get free shipping...

Bought one SM suit in Neapolitan fit and quite happy with the result. But I don't see any new Neapolitan fit suits. Any idea on when these will hit the online store?

Only available as mto this season (and from my understanding- for the foreseeable future)

My latest batch of custom shirts came in and I think the fit is pretty much spot on now.

@spiermackay Will new shirting fabrics show up at some point? I am particularly in need of heavier weights, the selection right now is pretty limited.

May I ask how did you go about refining the measurements to get the fit right? What measurements did you provide? I am considering submitting my body measurements for a few custom shirts as well, but I'm unsure if that's the best way to get the right fit.

Thank you!

EDIT: Who'd've thought @am55 asked the same question I did, and seems like we're both from Singapore. :)

Does this work or too much? I haven’t gotten the sleeves shortened on this jacket yet and this is one of the few shirts I have that reach out comfortably past the sleeve
