Yea, I definitely understand having different shoes—even sneakers—for different applications. But especially for sneakers, I’d guess that with enough wear voila! You have beaters. Unless you don’t want to first wear out the arch support structure or whatever, but then you’d want to buy special “walking shoes” similar to how you’d buy dedicated running shoes.Wear your good stuff enough to give it second life as beaters. That way you avoid the anxiety of buying mediocre stuff.
FWIW, I think Margiela GATs look better thrashed. Back in the day, some of the best fits on here were people wearing thrashed CP Achilles and various forms of GATs. Those shoes look a lot better to me when they look like they've been heavily worn and put through a lot.
I'm struggling to think of sneakers that don't look better with at least some amount of wear and tear.
The worst thing about expensive minimalist sneakers is that you pay more for shoes that take longer to look good.
I think some streetwear outfits (like real streetwear and not SWD) look best with new sneakers, such as very crisp AF1s or Jordans.

People are more willing to add a discord channel to their app or tab than sign up for a separate site, especially since a lot of these discords are for specific communities tied to podcasts or patreons that can't be rolled into an existing forum.I've noticed an increasing number of Discord channels set up for fashion. What are the benefits of doing a Discord, rather than keeping to forums? I assume it's better for discussion than IG, but why are discussions migrating to Discords?
