The easiest advice I read long ago was to stay eight feet away from someone who coughs, and to count out eight generous seconds before entering that radius.
For sneezes, it was like 40 feet and up to three hours, which sucks.
Not a doctor. Slight germaphobe who thrifts among the hurr-durr.
There was an article the other day that said because most people aspirate their own mucus/saliva during sleep — bringing the virus right into your lungs, if it’s hanging out on your face/nose/throat — you should do this before bed:
Blow your nose.
Wash your hands correctly, then with your finger, the first quarter inch inside each nostril, using soap. (Absolutely don’t use a netti pot).
Brush your teeth and tongue; gargle with mouthwash.
Of course, last summer, there were also articles about keeping sink/shower water out of your nose, due to unlikely, but possible, brain-eating amoeba.
I’m on day five of Netflix, which seems like the best option.
