jays and indians in the friggin 16th, breaking an opening-day record. hang on toronto :slayer:

And they won!

Brutal game to watch, though. Rajai Davis botching the bunt is the stuff of nightmares. He just....stood there, frozen at home plate, until he realized "hey, I can actually run to first base!".

Also, should I ever go to a home game and see Omar Vizquel stepping up to the plate, I'm totally gonna shout "Omar comin', yo!".

yeah, davis derped pretty hard there.. with that being said, the jays pulled a ton of nice plays in extra innings to keep it close; that double play with the bases loaded was nice. rasmus' diving catch earlier in the game was money... dude needs a haircut though

Looks like the Nats have snuck up on a lot of people, including me. A legit rotation (including the returning Stephen Strasburg), a good reliever (Brad Lidge), and a bunch of boppers in the lineup (to which phenom Bryce Harper will probably be added sometime in the middle of the season). It's going to be a fun summer in DC.

And the season starts with a giant cow pie pitched by The Freak. Hopefully not a portent of things to come.

I thought he looked good except in the 1st and the 6th, when he kept the ball up. Of course it only takes a bad inning or two to lose the game.

At any rate, he looked better than Gallardo! Not a good start for my Brewers.

But they won today. Nice game by Greinke. I have lots of friends in Mke who are big fans. I rem taking my little brother to see them clinch the playoffs. "82? GREAT team, except for the pitching and Rollie being hurt.

Middle relief is so much better nowadays.

That '82 season was magical. I was young at the time, and the idea that my home team would be in the World Series seemed unreal. I wish the Brewers still looked like the '82 team with the ball-and-glove logo and the pinstripes. And yeah, great game from Greinke today.

I see another frustrating Phils season on the horizon, where they can't score 2 ******* runs to win a game where starting pitching held the other team to 1.
