Yeah, I've never tried contacts because a) I don't think I'd do that well sticking my finger in my eye and b) I'd be tough to fit on account of the astigmatism.

I've heard it's better to wait until you're older to get Lasik, since your distance vision stops degrading at a certain point (mid-30s or 40, something like that).

Also:

For the Trail of Dead/Surfer Blood show (the venue they played is BYO). Good stuff, and not too heavy-handed with the oak.

I have astigmatism, contacts are no problem. You just have to get torics

I can't imagine going back to glasses for anything other than before I go to bed. I had a couple of failed attempts at entering the world of contact lenses during adolescence. A couple of weeks before I graduated from high school, I inexplicably mastered the technique of not taking 40 minutes to get the lenses in my eyes.

I've been wearing them for eight years and aside from a couple of viral infections in recent years, it's been smooth sailing. The astigmatism hasn't made it more difficult to get the lens in the eye. But like Kit said, you need toric lenses, which cost several times more than regular lenses. Those, in my own experiences, also seem more prone to tearing.

He got the small, because that was the only size left this morning when I checked the site.
