The tags are turned off indefinitely because the queries that the tag system uses are horribly written and were contributing significantly to the lag we were all experiencing. I am currently working on upgrading the forum software to a newer version which incorporates tags.

The Gilt Groupe thread and banners have been taken down temporarily as we try to figure out what is going on with them. Their links have not been working for a while now and we are trying to iron out details. Neither they nor we have unilaterally cancelled our relationship and it doesn't have anything to do with the recent "Exclusive stuff made for Gilt" thread.

I could change it to index all 3-letter words, but I think that would be extremely bad for performance. We'll see once it's upgraded. Also, consider using the Google search bar.

SF is now accessible through my Imac, so I guess it's to do with the server.

i read this and thought, "he means emacs right?"

This isn't totally site-related, but since I just got a bounce message:

sbcglobal.com sucks and keeps bouncing email. As far as I can tell they reject all mail from the SF address and now randomly rejected something from my Gmail account. They suck. If you use them, switch.

The tags in B&S were really helpful. I hope those can come back. It would also be great if a 3-character search was possible for size acronyms (38S, 44L, etc). At least in the B&S forum.

Thanks j. We appreciate all your work.

Can the "Who is KitonBrioni" thread in MC be squirreled or at least be moved to Dumb Threaks? It's, by nature, a ridiculous and mean-spirited thread, even though the OP probably didn't mean it to be.
