thanks guys. Was a strange morning...have been through my share of breakups, and mostly feel relief afterwards. This one I am feeling really nostalgic and everywhere-i-turn about it.

Still, I know I did the right thing, just gonna take some time for the weirdness to subside.

She's great, but it wasnt a relationship that was heading anywhere, so after a year and a half I put a stop to it.

Just kinda eating into each other's futures if we keep going like that.

It's always weird when you break it off with someone who you've been talking to most days of the week, who you've told everything to, shared everything with, and now you guys can't talk or it'll be weird.

No offense but I don't understand that "we weren't getting anywhere" thing, in the long term no one is getting anywhere except a casket/urn. If you got out because you weren't happy/comfortable with something that's fine but vague notions of the future don't mean **** unless they materialize (say you want kids and she doesn't and it's tearing your couple apart). Still you have my sympathy, these situations are a weight to carry for a while.

Nah, she is very cool. Not the sort of volatile element with whom I would normally associate.

Actually I think we both want the married n kids n things thing...just not with each other.
