thats just great fritz. im quite jealous. the guy i took my grandfathers watch to was fat, eating a burger king whopper while we spoke, and had such a thick southern redneck accent i could barely understand him.
your story has some charme, too. no pun intended.
i am yet to find a competent watch maker/repair man in bmore. blows.
did you get the watch when you were a baby? (serious question)
I met this insurance agent who claimed that his son was not walking and he put his rolex on the table and said, "if you walk and get it, it's yours". The kid got up and grabbed the watch. Gold and blue Rolex Sub. (not sure on the colors)
nah I bought it 10 years ago
Was leaning towards the 3717....
There are definitely valid arguments against the 3717. With the redesign it lost some of the charm of the older, more sober IWC fliegers. On the other hand, it gained quite a bit of presence as well. I quite like mine
The black croc strap does it no favours, I chose the strap from the Exupery limited ed instead. That is one comfortable strap!
Apropos the 'newer' dial/hands design of IWC chronos, those interested might get a kick out of what Renner's wearing in Bourne Legacy.
In the film he briefly lends his watch to Weisz's character, but he's pretty anxiuos about getting it back
When was it redesigned? I think I have exactly the same watch; I posted pics a few pages back.
Well, as someone who is a bit of an AHCI fanboy, I thought I would put this link here:
Honestly, one of the most amazing videos I have seen in a while. Roger Smith is absurdly talented, and I really admire his aim to build something that really will last for generations.
Do you guys buy previously owned watches or is buying new very important?
Great Reverso tchoy, I definetely luv it! Still on a fence to buy, too dressy. 8 days PR as I remeber?
