Those raw hem/double knee rips from SS21 you posted thorns I think aren't out yet, I'm waiting to see them drop in case they actually *do* get produced as nicely fitted as they are on the racetrack.

I don't know how I feel about how the stitching isn't straight on this back panel piece.

One of these perhaps: feigned surprise / a little tut / accepting it's the "new normal" at Celine

This feels like a clash between the Celine narrative and Saint Laurent look. Wow seeing both clash this hard side by side really helps me better understand and appreciate the differences of both Celine and Saint Laurent. They feel like two different style languages.

I like the composition of this photo, but he was always facing an uphill battle wearing chain jeans and a leather lapelled coat next to Atreyu (vs say your earlier compositions with the Asian chicks).

It feels like a photoshop. They cropped out the guy from a gritty urban environment into a Celine nature setting.

Got me thinking if any of the fw13 runway looks would still work with the horse nature setting. The fw13 looks would definitely be more bad boy edgy. He would also be riding on a black horse.

Full black shouldn't be too hard as long as the pieces lean more dressy.

I think I would also like grey jackets and coats paired with predominantly black to bring in some edgy preppy (dark academia) vibe.

Brown jacket and rest black would be fine too for that edgy prep feeling.

I would imagine the Celine boy riding on a white horse.

Tuxedo Mask's from Sailor Moon alter ego will definitely be a Celine boy. I haven't watched it from ages, so I'm just judging based on the drawings. The Celine boy feels like he cares about being presentable in a socially acceptable manner, that's why he dresses in a preppy manner. I would want to inject some mystery into him, so I want him to have some darker side that he covers up with his clothing. He's not as overt as someone who outwardly wears a leather jacket to look tough or badass.

haha that's great.

On a somewhat tangental note, LVMH released some financials and as usual they do not break out brands but rather categories. TLDR version is that fashion and leather goods, chiefly Dior and Louis Vuitton which they call out by name, have been driving the recovery, with an almost 20% increase in sales.

Other products have been somewhat stagnant such as jewelry or dragging, such as wines/spirits and perfumes and make-up.

Still no mention of Celine has being a bright spot or a laggard (they usually wouldn't do the latter though).

Thinking about the white with black stripes shirt. The drug store collar puts me off a little but I've already missed the blue and white striped shirt and I don't want to regret not picking this one up.
Should I buy my Saint Laurent size? Thanks

Finding myself getting interested in the tailoring side much more again, which was what brought me to Slimane in the first place actually. I'm not going to order much more online though, at least not big purchases, and wait until I can get to a store once they're open again to try a load of stuff. I've been returning far too many items recently.

Is this Husbands Paris label copying Celine or are they just using the same influences? The boots actually look pretty nice though

It's definitely a cool label. Probably a bit too mature for me to wear but I like what they're doing. And I thought maybe that was the case, that they are just using the same inspiration, but he's definitely aware of Hedi's work as he mentions him bringing heels back for men at DH.

SHout out to FW13; Adamdraps, what is the fit like on those black raw D02s?... I am looking for a black pair that fits like whiskers or OG blowouts... thoughts?

Not as tight as the OG blowouts and the leg opening is slightly bigger. I thought for a second they they might have been altered but they're not. They fit like the grey whisker denim from FW13 that I have. The single knee rip oil stain denim are my favorite pair of jeans ever.
