Welcome to the official thread for the VirusMas Thrift/Care package exchange. The premise is that with thrift stores closed and almost all sheltering in place, there is only so much Netflix, Hulu, Gaming etc... that you can do before even that becomes boring and mundane. Pushing the start of day drinking earlier and earlier, eating your way to the next size up, everyone needed a distraction from their favorite comfort/coping mechanism. What better way than to do a secret Santa type exchange consisting of some sort of combo of local food/beverage products, thrifted clothing/accessories, or a favorite movie/book/video game to help occupy some of the time while we patiently wait for things to return to normal.
A $10 minimum entry fee to be donated to Doctors Without Borders was set up, and collectively a donation of over $775 was made from the fine gents of Styleforum! Well done everyone. This also includes donations made by people who are not participating in the exchange, further proof of the high character of the community.
This thread can be used to share pictures of your gift package when it arrives, to post any questions, or just anything in general on the topic of VirusMas.
Thanks to everyone who is participating, hopefully this is the first and last time we ever do this.

I think i got the hardest person to shop for. *Challenge accepted.
A member whom i respect immensely for their knowledge.
(you are going to get a box of super random stuff i think is awesome)

Come on guys, let's have some fun with this, like the time i sent @Moo a box wrapped in "Hello Kitty" wrapping paper.
put some quirky fun things in there.like regret filled teleshopping items (Shamwow?) Souvenirs from holidays,Kitchen gadgets,Cat hats,AND thoughtfully awesome items.

I plead with you all to really aim to make somebody smile, and laugh. to feel thought about.
we need this right now. Thanks to the hosts for putting it on. :fonz:

Putting the finishing touches on my VirusMas care package. I need to get in my storage unit, and they picked this week to repave the lot. Have to go in after 6pm.
