Light shoulder padding to compensate for drop. Subtle spalla. 3.75” lapels, negative belly.

Is it possible to get a better photo of your jacket? I’m looking to do a negative belly on my next MTM with them and want to see how they executed it.

Yes. I’ll have someone take one later of me outside. Of my 3 mtm jackets this factory is by far the best. And I have 1 from each factory Rick has worked with the past 2-3 years.

@spiermackay

I’m looking for a plain ‘ol navy and plain ‘ol charcoal suit, as my regular workhorse suits (from Samuelson and eHaberdasher) have been flogged to death after 5 years of heavy rotation.

1) do you guys still have bundle pricing for two suits, and
2) are there any plain Jane ultra-conservative business dress fabrics coming in this next line of Neapolitan that is rumoured for next week? (Plain worsted, sharkskin, maybe Birdseye) Or is the current lineup what I should be looking at? Trying to decide whether to come in today or next week.

I find this true with many brands that can cost significantly more than Spier. It really is a gem of a find, and hopefully they don't let the demand go *too* much to their heads and double their prices anytime soon. :hide:

(that last bit is tongue in cheek of course, just in case my dry humor doesn't translate well via pixellation ;) )

Our goal from day one is to offer the best value on the market. The only time we will raise prices is if costs rise. We work on fairly thin margins and rely on moving volume to get to profitability. We essentially sell at a wholesale price.

If we were a conventional brand who were wholesaling to a retailer, our prices would be the same to the retailer, who would then mark it up approx. 2x-3x the wholesale cost. So a $400 sportcoat that we offer, is similar to other brands $800+ offering at retail. This is true for all our products. Shirts, trousers, sweaters, etc.

We eliminated bundle pricing and dropped the price on the suits to the bundle price without having to bundle. The Neapolitan will be in Navy, Medium Gray sharkskin, Charcoal Sharkskin and a Gray POW.

Niiiice. Will likely grab navy and possibly charcoal sharkskin, with extra trousers.

Thanks!

I just joined this site and this thread yesterday so Im not really sure what’s been discussed before, but is S&M going to have new suits and styles very soon? I recently discovered the store and I am really interested in buying a suit from them, but I’d hate to rush into it and miss the new items.

I know some of you have asked this before and now that I’ve received it downtown, I’ve been able to assemble a quick look to display the potential the green khaki has as a full suit. Personally, I’d crease the trouser for a more ‘suit-esque’ look. But I personally believe the jacket and trouser make a sharp, casual outfit overall.

P.S. I actually don’t have that much of a slope I in real life, I slept poorly a couple nights ago and have a terrible crick in my neck. o_O

Looks nice. Is this slim or contemporary for the pants and jacket?
