We considered the drawstring. Haven't decided yet.

That's the perfect color range imo. Would definitely be all over the brown one.

I would very much prefer a drawstring waist. I think casual jackets like this needs a way to add some shape, depending on what's worn underneath.

looks really great. Have you considered hand warmer pockets for the hip pockets?

British Millerain Wax Cotton Jacket. Proto #2. Went with 4 pocket design. The snaps will be changed to more of an antique and the collar to a chocolate brown. For sampling they used what was readily available.

and will it have some sort of button vents at the back to make it easier to sit when done up?

I have a military casual jacket without the string at the waist and every time I wear it I wished there was a string to add some shape in the waist.
