15 years ago! How you think EG's changed over the years?
The pockets have gotten more heavy handed over the years, but there’s always been a lot of pockets. On the parka I picked up there’s a game pocket in the back as well as a small zip pocket on the sleeve that feels like a country cousin to acronym fabrication.

What’s impressive is what hasn’t changed-Bedfords, Andovers, fatigues, the work shirt and classic shirt silhouettes.

Changes that stand out to me: checking the lookbooks, SS13 seems like when the florals became a mainstay (the print of these shorts is an all time fave of mine-if anyone has something in this fabric + large and willing to sell please DM me!)

The sizing shifts have also been noticeable-I finally let go of some fatigues from the slim era and dig that the fits seem to have settled.

So many more collabs, and overall much wider distribution. It’s gotten a lot easier to buy new/used EG over the years.

It’s fun to see the subtle explorations each season but there’s definitely a through line that’s been consistent.

Random question. For those who live in big urban areas, how often do you see people out and about wearing EG?
rarely. most people arent as fashionable even in big cities unless u go to fashion districts, art schools or stumble upon art students. even then ive never seen EG worn in public. i only saw some celebrities wearing EG on instagram and tiktok. i think edm artist porter robinson wore an EG vest recently at coachella.

Same here but I live in the fashion wasteland that is San Jose. Tech bros can easily afford EG but they just wear free tees from their work.

I also saw Zach De La Rocha of RATM wearing the hooded vest and the lead singer of the Gorillas was wearing a S2W8 vest

I live in Melbourne, Australia. I still see a few uniqlo collab fleeces knocking about but that's about it. My wife is from Belfast home of the Bureau and I never saw anyone in EG there, but then again I probably don't pay enough attention

My first major piece was a FW12 field parka from @Drinkwaters I purchased in fall of 2013. I may have purchased a bucket hat secondhand before that.

I lived in Boston for 10 years and could count on one hand the amount of times I saw people wearing EG “in the wild” (aka not at an SF meet-up or Drinkwater’s) I once complimented a dude in a cafe on his Salmon People peacoat thinking he was an EG obsessive like me but I received a very strange look, haha! I will say that whenever I go to NYC I usually see a few people rocking EG or Nepenthes brands.

Speaking of EG spotting, this season’s popover on Season 2 of the Bear.

Other than one EG-specific meetup, I can’t recall seeing anyone in the wilds of Los Angeles wearing EG
I live in Paris, france. Never seen anything EG. At least i could identify as.
except for the Uniqlo fleeces, but that mustve been a few years ago.

Everything popular here is just whatever instagram explorer says so lol.
Baggy pants, adidas sambas or birk clogs or salomons and a tight top with running glasses.

Really liking this look from Fall23! Does anyone know what model jacket that is, or is it newer?
