Seems way big for how EG is typically sized. Maybe certain models varied between fabrics, but I got those measurements sent my way for the cotton versions for what it's worth. Hope it works out!

Yeah when she told me it was 38" I didn't believe it but the Frans Boone measurements say the 34 is around 36" so I figured it was somewhere in that ballpark. If it's 34" exactly with some give it should be ok, if it's 35" it will be perfect. I'll find out tomorrow.

If anybody else was wondering, the 34's are fine. They are comfortably loose in the waist, I don't need a belt but I need to pull the side tabs tight to keep them up. They are overall pretty loose and baggy as military cargo's should be. Pretty good buy for $103.

We still have some decent sizes remaining in a few random styles. Try reaching out to the Portland and Los Angeles Tanner Goods shops.

They were at need supply, with the SF 10% code it was $103 or something, there was only a 36 left after I ordered the 34, not sure if it's still there.
It's the navy wool from fall/winter
