Diggin this Polo! It's rare, but I come across this era Polo at the thrifts every once in awhile. Usually a piece that could be in an RRL collection, but for some reason this era Polo is better construction than RRL. I got a couple of flannels that are amazing.

I really love old polo, especially the westerns. The basic ones are fantastic and the special editions like the canyon, Santa Fe, and beach are absolutely at the Rrl level as far as detail and quality goes. Very happy with them.

On a tangential, not very happy with quality on AnonymousIsm socks.

Sorry to hear that. My new favorite sock brand is Thunders Love, but rarely are they on sale...

I have owned a lot of their socks over the years. Have had mixed experience. Some pairs have worn like iron; others fell apart after a few machine washes, which always involved warm water and air drying.

Chup. The problem is that although you can get them in various places outside of Japan (and in their international online store), they are much more expensive than in Japan, and I've never seen them on sale either.

oje thing I don’t like about chup is they are hard to put on and take off because of the right elastane.

my favorite brand is anonymous-ism. I hand wash all my socks, and they hold up.

I'm going to have to keep my eyes open for a that era Polo western then!

My man, they're so good, I'm telling ya. Make sure to check the measurements, they're def traditional polo sizing, so maybe size down?

I had one of those Polo westerns in chambray, worn it so much that both sleeves bust at the elbows. Loved that shirt.

They are almost impossible to get on! I might try RoToTo or whatever.

They are close-fitting, definitely, which is why I like them. I hate loose, baggy socks that work their way down inside your boots. And I've never really had too much of a problem putting them on... but YMMV I guess.
