Was this a traditional weight (12~ oz) or a summer weight (10~ oz)? I was curious whether a traditional weight denim will be still okay to wear around during a hot & humid summer in NC.

I wear all of my Raleigh's during the summer with few exceptions. I live in Raleigh btw.

Many Raleigh owners have commented on how the Raw denim will stretch in the waist, but how about the top block in general (hips, butt). I have a pair of new Nash Raws (only worn three times), felt a little snugger than I'd have anticipated when I was walking around/biking to work today, especially when I'm lifting my legs. Might be overly concerned.

These are 12.5 oz denim, I think. It's the old denim. They changed denims, what, a year ago? Since these are pretty beaten up, they're a little thinner than they'd be new. They've been good to me for this NC summer.

The old denim definitely stretches in the butt.

Raleigh Denim makes some great jeans. They've really improved and expanded over the last few years as well. I own a pair of Original Raw Thin's and they're great jeans. I have a rather small waist (27 3/4 inches) and I purchased a size 28. They fit rather snug upon initial purchase, and I'd estimate they've stretched about 1/2-1" in the 4 months I've had them. I'd say the waist measure around 29" inches now. My only complaint with the jeans is that I wear a belt and since they've stretched a bit, in the back my belt has caused the fabric to slightly overlap in the waistband to fit my waist better. I always wear a belt so its really only noticable for me. I wear them probably 4-5 times a week, and they have retained their dark indigo color very well. No signs of stress in the crotch, or lose stitches. They're definitely worth spending the $285 on. And if you live around Raleigh take the trip to their store/factory. The guys there are really great!

The Curatory has alot of their shirts and jackets 70 percent off. Minimal sizes, lots of smalls and mediums from what I saw. Band of Outsiders, Robert Geller, Hollander and Lexar just to name a few

bought a pair of mitchell thin's last week from the nyc store. usually wear between 31 and 32, and bought a 31. waist is already stretching to a comfortable width now. love the fit, and cone mills denim is awesome.

They call that a "thin boot" but I don't really think it applies. What about you?

Hoping to pop by the Curatory over Memorial Weekend if it's open ... Would love to own a pair of USA-made local jeans that will last forever

You should! The store looks awesome and you can also peek into the back where they make the jeans.

I'm not a denim expert or anything even close to that, and this thread hasn't had any action in a long time so this brand may or may not be good anymore, but Gilt has some on sale now at like half price of what other retailers are charging (Unionmade, Need Supply, etc.), and there's a decent selection. I looked up the measurements and they seem like they might work pretty well for me so I'm going to give them a shot.
