Hey thanks for all the comments guys.
Thanks, it does seem a bit uhh...incongruous? If you're unfamiliar with the designer Undercover that might give you some context. Just took some cues from FW09 styling.
Thanks J, what don't you like about the boots and jeans? I considered a boot tuck. I also didn't lace up the boots all the way, you may recall they go up pretty high, they're kind of a pain when I'm feeling lazy.
Thanks again, and it's true I am doing a lot of experimenting. I spend a lot of time and money on clothes so I figure I should try to diversify as much as possible. Certainly is not easy. Sometimes I snap a waywt and look at my camera "****, this looks a lot less cohesive/more bland than it did in the mirror." But I am not dressing for the interwebz though I do, for whatever reason, kinda trust the forum to tell me when I am doing something wrong. PS re my embarrassing neck I just had a pretty serious back surgery and lost about twenty pounds. If you dig for some of my old WAYWTs, I my neck used to be pretty alright looking.
Working on gaining it back right now but I can't work out for a couple more months.
I appreciate the crit and I actually agree with you Kent. Well not on everything; for instance I think in the right context a guy can rock a cardigan without an undershirt and I don't think that throws off the edginess. Dunno, I pull a lot of my flavor from runway shows so that kind of styling doesn't bother me and I actually find it really comfortable and sexy. I considered taking a pic of me without the coat and hoodie just to show that but whatever. I understand the trepidation, it's a lot of skin. Anyway I agree with you though, I am not quite as adept at layering as I would like to be and having five or six plus pieces in every fit is not easy to balance. As for the last two fits, I think the colors threw off the blazer-henley-boot tuck fit and I think I should've either stuck the to v sweater or the cardi, having both at once created too many weird shapes. I definitely enjoyed wearing both of those outfits though and felt very stylish. Glad I got good crit on these though. I will probably keep posting some more of this kind of questionable stuff, I want to see how far I can push my wardrobe in directions away from the SF uniform. I am aware I have not strayed very far.
Thanks dude. The CW jeans are super comfy.
andrew: like the jacket, love the jacket but it looks like you found/stole it as it doesnt go with everything else you are wearing

I like this. Something about the jeans and boots together doesn't look quite right though. It's cool to see going in a different direction.

thats the problem, as you can tell from his pics that he is experimenting with certain styles...and sometimes 3 styles in one fit arw is lucky as he has the type of proportions that most guys will kill for...ok maybe he needs to work on building up his puny neck

ARW, I'm sorry to say but I just dont know about the past handful of WAYWTs you've posted lately. Don't get me wrong, you got some sweet pieces but you hodge-podge them together and it looks a little overdone. Maybe reduce the amount of pieces per fit and make them a bit more cohesive within the fit. For example, that cardigan without a shirt underneath is, well, gay; that is in comparison to the rest which is militant/baggy/edgier. just my .02

^i like this, ARW. the jeans fit perfect, love the way they look, and I think they work well with the drape of the coat. I'm not sure how the cardigan and hoodie works together since i can't tell from the pictures. All in all, I like.
