Hi I have just got this original 45 out of my shed to check and its by G G All Stars on Explosion lable 1970.

I must have 50 odd originals tucked away in the shed from over 40 years ago and no Dansette record player for the last 35 years. i have mangaed to obtain lots of old reggae songs on CDs over the years and there are many on Youtube that can easily be downloaded and converted to mp3 for the modern players

Hello Gel boy, welcome to the thread! Time magazine... well that's very prestigious.... I hadn't imagined there was much interest in Skinheads in America at the time. Was it for the American edition of Time? I understand there was also a European edition.

Makes me think of Maurice Chevalier........ somehow I can't see him as a Skinhead, though! Anyway I was picturing you more as Beau Brummel.....

That's not bad, really when you think how much the rare singles sell for. Believe it's your birthday tomorrow: got anything planned?

    Hi mate.
Is this possible? I've made enquiries about this myself recently. I've been told to use 'mozilla firefox'.
I have no idea if this is safe, or even works.
I've got loads of reggae vinyl which I need converting to cd/mp3 and I can't be arsed to buy one of the digital turntable converter thingies.
It Can't be illegal if you already own the 45 or Lp, so I'd be happy to give it a go :)

Hi All I have done is downloaded ‘free Youtube to MP£ converter’ from ‘DVD Video soft’ from web.

I then select the required video on Youtube and right click the videos taskbar when playing and select ‘copy video URL’ and the paste to ‘free Youtube to MP£ converter’ window and follow instructions. You can then burn to CD or transfer to MP3 player

Pretty straightforward. I have managed to find lots of songs that I have not seen on CDs and that I thought would never hear again
