These boots embody everything I love about this hobby. The people.

These vintage Canadian made Gorilla boots, have quite the history. Likely manufactured in Quebec in the 80s/90s, they ended up a thrift store. In unworn condition. A fellow enthusiast found them, and gifted them to me, knowing the sizing likely worked for me. And they fit just the way I prefer for boots.

The welts were beat up and the soles were a cork material that provided little use for someone like me.

So I sent them on to Pablo Hadarits who rebuilt with an eva wedge, Vibram kletterleft soles, and new 360 welt. I'll eventually get some speed hooks too.

These are my go to travel boots. Super comfortable but also have traction. These have traveled to Asia, hiked the trails in the Bruce Peninsula, and many more adventures in the future.

Continuing to work through my entire boot collection.
This is what I am also doing. To make sure each and every pair of boot and shoes gets worn I am going by brand. I find that is thebeasiest way to remember and cycle through.

Just finished with the Northampton / UK brands - Cheaney, C&J, Trickers - the last two weeks and now moving on to the others.

Yesterday it was Ian Harold Chelsea Boots - The Gardener - with its interesting flaps covering the elastic.

That's an unusual idea indeed. I actually like the aesthetic of the elastic on chelsea's - adds to the style in my view.
