Will disagree that the remark was misinformation or in poor taste.
It is misinformation until you actually back up that claim with numbers - again please proceed with the direct order and report complete information about the total cost to you.

It is poor taste to come into an affiliate thread (that we pay actual money for) and make some statements about purchasing the products we retail at lower prices somewhere else. I'm sorry if you cannot see this obvious fact. What's next... a weekly post in our thread with links to yoox about stuff at deep discount from brands we retail?

Again, back with regularly scheduled programming. Valstar field jacket in action today, for the first day of cold weather (high 54, low 41). Also pictured, Inglese denim shirt.

I think it will be perfect for this type of weather.

Oh yeah, and wearing Butteros, as usual.

I stand by my original statement, and that's not going to change. Let's also not forget that customer service absolutely must factor in to what is considered the greatest deal with any purchase.

In any case, this is not the thread to cast aspersions. If you have a problem with the price, you're more than free to not buy the item.

I was quoted 440 euro for museum calf m to on u last with trees by rezso last year. Unless duties and shipping are around 250 dollars to the United states, that's much less expensive.

I honestly don't think that Greg needs to defend his prices at NMWA.
But shipping and duty is likely to run at least $100, depending on the whim of the courier levying a brokerage fee and what duty customs decides to charge (and if you've ever look at the tariff schedules they are impenetrable... sidenote I got charged close to $100 for Aldens shipped from Europe, tried to submit the form to customs to recoup on the obvious error, and got it kicked back to me on some absurd technicality, so all that is fun).

And I also realize that we're talking MTO here, but NMWA Vass pricing RTW comes in at $715 with all the extras and free shipping both ways (try shipping something back to Hungary if it doesn't work out for you... the rates are absurd again). They are even sometimes less expensive still when they have been part of a larger sale. So yes, the cost from Greg is higher and In Stitches may have been exercising a little poetic license (it's the first time I've ever seen him do that...), but I think there's a little more to all this than direct from Vass is "much less expensive."

So instead of the tedious how much should Vass cost argument, a photo that includes Vass oxblood u-caps, Casentino, SS Figiaria (not visible), and Inis Meain scarf (baby alpaca and silk is the business BTW), plus Merola shearling and peccary gloves:

The field jacket looks great, @Newcomer. Is it quilted? I can see the faint outline of squares.

That looks awesome Newcomer. I'm jealous.

Thanks bro, I am loving it so far.

This. It looks very very nice. Interested to see what it's made out of.

And @Newcomer that Valstar jacket cut and size fits you perfectly.

Thanks Frank, I really appreciate it.

Also, you are killing it in the Casentino today. Awesome.

Thanks bud. And it is not quilted, but it does have faint horizontal lines. There are not any vertical lines. From any closer than a foot, they are not even remotely visible.
