My biggest problem with navy blazer on denim is the matching blues and lack of contrast. And if you go with lighter wash jeans to improve contrast you strengthen the effect of sartorial mullet.
Navy blazers pair best with tan, grey, white, olive, brown or burgundy trousers.
I could see a navy blazer worn with dark jeans as a sort of "anti-suit"(don't know where I heard that but it stuck) for going out at night, clubbing, etc but this isn't a very CM approved look

All depends on the jeans and blazer in question. If you wear a very casual navy blazer, unstructured, maybe washed cotton et c, I think you can easily get away with pairing it with both faded jeans and raw denim. It's not for the board room though.

I don't like those jeans. I think Blazers can work well with white jeans, though then again you might as well go for white chinos then.

Lighter SCs than that go well for denim. This has too much structure.

Wash of jeans is fine, needs more taper and no break. Anything ither than brass buttons, patch pockets, less structure, and a non-white textured/patterned shirt or popover would improve.

Id unbutton the jacket, too.

Tldr dress down

Since I'm not an affiliate vendor, it feels unfair to those who are, to continue this conversation here. I sent you a PM.

I need a casual unstructured blue jacket. Texture is preferred.
A jacket that works with jeans, cords, and khakis.

I want OTR and do not want ultra tailored slim fit lunacy.
Just a nice athletic cut for an 8" drop.

I had a $200 one from BR, it was perfect for my needs, but I tore it while bungee jumping.
Can someone give me some ideas of where I can get this?
