Our fridge is crapping out. Mrs. Unf made the bold move of cleaning it a few weeks ago and now it's doing a worse job keeping frozen stuff frozen (and the fridge isn't getting cold enough either). I have a trusty appliance repair guy and he told me if he had a 12 year old samsung in his home he wouldn't even bother trying to repair it either, so I guess that is that.

On the bright side, looks like we can get a few more cubic feet with one of the new LG Max fridges and my biggest complaint has always been that I want more fridge space for our family of 4. Unfortunately, the LGs don't have dual compressors so this is probably a slight downgrade in that regard but the fridge I would want (Bosch 800) is a few inches too tall for the cutout, in addition to being double the price. I don't feel like we're going to live here forever but I said the same thing 11+ years ago when we moved in.

We have a small amount of wiggle room, but the 800 would require us to redo our cabinets above the box and they would then be misaligned with the rest of our kitchen.

Honestly, in most cases the british conservatories look much better than this. They're usally freezing in winter and oven-like in the summer though.
