I checked AE's site today to see if there's anything in my size on sale. They have a pair of these in gray for $250. Not bad. I noticed they now have "final sale" items, and this falls into that category. Does anyone have them in gray on here? I have a $50 Amex credit I can use until the end of June, but probably will just wait and see what develops with the TS this year.

The grey is lighter than I would've liked. The grey suede TS Hamiltons I got are darker and I much prefer those over this stock magnet grey offering.

The magnet suede ones? I have them, and I probably wouldn't get them again. I liked them at first, but the color of them just doesn't go with literally anything I own.

@ProfilaBinding +1 on all this. Might look good with some of your reds/rusts/orange colored pants though I'd still pass. They are a difficult color to pair.

I think you all are right. I remember seeing those yellow-ish tan Hamilton's on Ebay for $100 in my size brand new a year ago. Why did I pass? How dumb of me.

I think this is the perfect old man pairing for these pants.

An odd thing happened yesterday on a Mexican forum where I was told to stay in Chicago and not come to Mexico. Last time I heard something like that was when I was a child. Back then it was go back to Mexico where you came from, ******!
My wife couldn’t be more proud of my assimilation into American culture. How times have changed!

Wearing some new-to-me brown shell Higgins Mill boots courtesy of @Ashley_S . Trying something a little different as these are 11.5E vs. my usual 11.5D. I definitely like the better instep fit, but I have to see how I get along with the extra space in other areas, especially the heel and toe box. But, at first wear, they're seem to be very doable. I gave them about 15 minutes of brushing while I was on a conference call yesterday, and they brightened up pretty well, but they'll need a hot date with some VSC in the very new future. Debating on what I want to do with the edges. Thinking about taking everything off and going as natural as possible, even with the dark welt.

Wish I had pulled the trigger on these! One of the better Hamiltons that AE produced. Not sure why they stopped with this make-up.

As for me, I went with my dark chili University shoes. Chili might be the easiest color to pair for me. I wore these for 3 consecutive days last week when I was out of town. They are great for business and travel.

Well, thanks, but it is all good. I have sold 12 pairs with 4 still listed. My need for a larger collection has drastically dropped since I retired. But in the interim I have purchased 3 pairs. Oddly, two of them are black shell PTBs. Alden and NOS Florsheims from 1996 in 11EEE. These are the Alden and the Florsheims arrive tomorrow. Speaking of Leeds, it appears AE is discontinuing the Leeds as the inventory is low and the sale price ends in $.97.
