I’ve never tried Standeven.

I think 8 oz is pretty flimsy for tailored trousers… But, I don’t live in Florida.

Has anyone used Drapers gabardine? How does it drape/tailor? It’s lighter than the Minnis but I prefer the colours.

The idea is to have made a suit by a Milanese tailor.

Thank you for sharing this. I love the olive shade on this gabardine. Might even commission a suit in this some time later this year.

Gabardine usually drapes very well as it's densely woven, but I have no experience with this particular one from Drapers. I believe wool gabardine from the Three Kings bunch here are of the same Super 150s quality as their Blazon bunch.

New fox limited drop worsted faux tweed gunclub
Just pushing this up to the top. Still out of stock last I saw, but a potentially useful staple for urban and indoor wear.

Going to commission a navy hopsack jacket for the summer. Any recommendations for the fabrics? I know there’s the oyster bunch from Harrison’s, but it’s 13 oz. I wonder if that’s too heavy and would look too formal to be a standalone jacket.
Oyster is a workhorse that will normally hold you through cooler months. I'd want something very different for the summer.

Anyone has a photo of, and possibly any thoughts on, the latest version of the Prince tweed from LL?
Photo posted of jacket in the works. Looks like most of the others, perhaps richer in color. And we'll see how the new lambswool quality holds up as suiting, but it should be a pleasant thing for relaxed weekend outings.

Friend is having a wedding next year summer, What are some good tropical suitings in white/ivory?

Going to be in a hot and humid country so I was leaning towards linens and tropical bunches

The J. Hanna Glenariff linen is very good, and well-priced. The ivory is a nice colour, not too yellow.
