What do you think of the clothes in Annie Hall? I love Diane Keaton's borrowed from the boys style. I've read it was her wardrobe. I assume these were Woody's clothes too.

A few months after seeing Annie Hall my wife and I and another couple
were strolling on upper Madison Ave in New York after dinner when we
saw Woody Allen and a beautiful, elegant woman engaged in animated
conversation as they walked towards us. It was as though we were seeing
an out take from the film. He was dressed in a trad sport
coat and chinos and she was more formal in heels and horned rimmed
glasses that gave her a "Seven Sisters" look. We saw them again as we
rounded Fifth Ave. Neither group acknowledged the other. For our part,
we were following the New York code of not bothering celebrities.

One of my all-time favorite all-around favorite films. Also, The Philadephia Story from 1940 with Grant, Hepburn, Stewart. Lots of DB style and Cary Grant wears that curious and memorable collarless sport coat.

And hard to not think spring/summer without the iconic A River Runs Through It and its very Americana sportsman/fly-fishing theme.

i'm surprised Marcello Mastroianni's elegance (in a lot of movies) wasn't mentioned yet.

Here in front of a poster for 'La dolce vita', a movie among others where he is the very expression of class and sprezzatura.

One of the most stylish series ever must be Brideshead Revisited. The relaxed cuts in shades of cream and white feels very on point right now too.

My wife and I just finished watching Chinatown last night. Like many of the SOs of member's here, she thinks my little clothing hobby is silly and funny. You can imagine my surprise when she turned to me and said, "Wow, the clothing in this movie is amazing..." I think she was mostly referring to Faye Dunaway's wardrobe, but I'll take the little victories where I can.
