Was that in the 18E archive sale?
In the back of my brain I thought "wasn't there something I liked from 18E in the past year or two?" but was too lazy to scroll too far down the page.

@jaaz16 is correct, grabbed it off another member in the b/st/t thread. i loved this sweater since i first saw it a few years ago but couldn't make it work then. when i saw it up in the thread i pounced.

and @jaaz16 that's a great idea. i'm sure there's a bunch of stuff i could play with, and that's a really good option. maybe with some indy boots? i'll have to see. i'm kinda excited to see how i can work this in, i feel like it can go with a bunch but just don't have the mind for it yet because i wear black so rarely.

ETA: what are thoughts on black and blue / navy? i know it's done in a very contemporary way, but maybe could work here too...

I really like LabelKing's style, although his style is perhaps a bit more striking and works especially well on him. Still, cool all-black outfit -- black suit, black dress shirt, and not pictured are his Cuban heeled black boots.
I’ve really been lusting after a pair of black cuban heeled boots. From the First seem to be the best option for value, although Husbands shape is much better I’m not sure I can justify the price if they aren’t going to be a semi regularly wearable thing.
But my question is, do I go calf or patent? Patent is much more of a statement but damn its cool.
(again Husbands crackled patent is annoyingly the best of both worlds…)

I would go calf, mostly because I think patent boots might look too plasticky

Speaking of black boots, I picked up a pair of side zips recently and I adore them. I've had almost zero chances to wear them but they look great. I looked for ages for a pair that weren't Margiela expensive, and it turns out Beckett Simonon makes some. I debated for awhile whether to get side zips or chelseas and I'm very happy with my choice.

I have some black side zip Buttero Floyds I bought a year or two ago and I wear them so much more than I thought I would. So much so that I picked up a brown suede pair recently in the same model.

Same here - I wear the black calf Floyd boots regularly and just ordered a pair in camel suede (to pair with brown Clint jacket!)

PSA Farfetch had them at 30% off

Black side zips are very underrated. I have some Black Reverse Waxed Camel side zips on the way from Benzein. they’re like a mix between the Viberg side zips and Buttero Floyd’s (I hope). Addict is coming out with a tan side zip in April that looks reminiscent of the Butteros but with more toe spring. May pick those up too.

I also think black front zips are also neat but YMMV

This may a be a weird question but I figured this may be the best place to ask, how do you all who live in the depths of suburbia wear longer coats like balmacaans? Even though I'm working downtown, my daily commute is from my garage to another garage. I never really step outside. It just seems like my bal although awesome, is a bit much to drive the 25 minutes into the city and then immediately take it off when I get into the office.

I thought to wear it to the park with the kids, but then I'm sticking out like a sore thumb in the middle of a sea of dads in Patagonia down sweaters... I guess I need to learn to care a little less.
