This is actually making me feel like skinnies will have the same fate. Always periodically showing up in collections.

Just like women were wearing men's ss21, men wearing women's ss21 always viable

I can totally imagining this working well for the Celine boy. Sub in a Chesterfield coat instead.

Only "issue" that I would have with this look is that it is so overtly dramatic that there is no room for you to pretend that you don't care. This look betrays all efforts to look effortless.

I'm in the same boat, I like a lot of what Alessandro does at Gucci, and appreciate his aesthetic as well as offering a very different narrative than what I adopt, however, I haven't purchased anything from Gucci except one pair of admittedly awesome blue shorts for the summer I found on MrPorter a little while back.

Ordered the monogram briefcase. I never thought I'd own monogram but I've liked the Celine one for some time and once I got the cardholder I couldn't resist.

I very nearly ordered the union wash jeans too, but I couldn't decide which cut to go for. It will most likely end up being the skinny as I imagine they'll look more like slim on me in my size and not too tight. I like the slim, the regular, and the 90s versions, but they really work only with trainers for me, whereas the skinny will work with boots nicely too. The union wash definitely feels like a Celine signature item at this point.

Saw a picture on Instagram of the womenswear sunglasses in tortoise shell with gold triomphe on the side and they looked very nice.

Sounds like a classy mix Kieran.

I'm wearing my union wash denim now and they've catapulted to some of my favorite, if not my go-to now. I like that they're a touch lighter in shade, made in Japan, and the skinny fit is perfect for me, well tapered and proportioned, and the waist is not mercilessly tight as was 2013 SLP MIJ IIRC.

I even like the blank tag and the slightly larger back pockets for our growing smart phones. (I have a couple pairs of SLP denim where the pockets in the back do not allow a large phone to fit securely to say nothing of a wallet.)

I'm definitely going to be ordering some. I'm torn though because the looser ones look nice with turn ups and the blank trainers I have, whereas the skinny ones look best with boots. I don't really want to order two either because I rarely wear blue jeans.

And he's been doing it consistently too. I kinda like some of the gucci stuff, but haven't purchased anything, and don't really plan on it. The flares, for example, are a bit extreme at times. I prefer just a slight bootcut

Same, the problem with current Gucci is that the look is so specific, so incorporating a piece into my normally mix & matched look would be hard, only Michele piece that I have is the black and white version of the 'paradise bird' t-shirt, AW16 iirc? Some of the trousers have been really nice, the loose houndstooth ones especially, but I wouldn't pay 900€ for a pair of polyester trousers on principle alone.

I want to like the union wash but in some photos they look too blue for me. I like my blue jeans really washed out with a green/yellow hue to them. I might have to see them in person.

Adam I think you're spot on, they're very much a true blue lighter shade of denim. I don't sense a ton of green/yellow in them, as I have in my SLPs of a similar vein.

I took a few quick snaps in better light should it be helpful:

casual sporty Parisian look. I love the blue feeling a bit cooler than the usual brown.
