First pics is a nice woven I have choosen in differet colors.

The last two pics are of a "11" fold tie in the making . The process is completely hand done and the tie is around 400.00 USD retail.
I have choose different folds and levels of hand work. I think the MC will appreciate this more. Interestingly enough this is considered a 9 fold tie in Italy.

these ties are made in a very special way and not just the folding aspect. The way the silk is woven. Only two mills in the world make this particular style. If you guess the name. I will give you one in a few weeks when they are ready. I will give a 7 fold "Italian" to the person who guesses. A 7 fold to the Italians is a 9 fold to Americans and I will get into that later.
Any takers? For those who switch from Sw&D to MC feel free to invite those guys to play.

Best,
Mauro

The ties appear to have a grenadine like texture. Are they woven by fermo fossati or bianchi?

Looking for the name of the weave or the name of the mills? Garza Grossa/Garza Fina for the weaves, though I've seen them named piccolo elsewhere for finer grenadines.

Almost out of season, but have you looked in making scarfs before, Mauro?

I do make scarves, knitted and woven.
The knitted scarves are made in the US with whole garment machines. The woven cashmere scarves are made in Italy by old shuttle looms.
They should start arriving in September 2015.

Mauro do you plan on having any regularly stocked basics like oxfords? I like the pre-order system but sometimes I just want to pick up a shirt or something. Would probably he helpful for non-members also.

I plan to. I am shifting production so that's taking a little time.
My basics aren't basic in terms of cloth.
I will have Made in the USA and Made in Italy basics. I do want to carry stock but I don't like sitting on a lot of product. I am just not that big. I will lay out everything in a newsletter very soon.
I am sure I will have fabric left for the 80/2 -80/2 form this MTO.

Thanks mauro! My favorite ties are my Sam hobers and drakes which I use as a benchmark for quality ties. Happy to post a review of your tie with detailed pics when I get it. Can't wait. Cheers, Dan

How long will the ties be? I'm 5'6" and any tie over 57" goes past my belt buckle. I don't like tucking the tail into mt shirt.
