The new American Gladiators

The new Eliminator is a hell of a lot harder than the old one. The swim is killing contestants. I think they turned the tension on the handbike way up. Adding in the pyramid has really slowed people down. The motorized ramp looks like it may be steeper?

I hope they make some changes to Assault. Way too complicated to use all the weapons. Load the gun, aim, and fire? Ok. Dig in a sand pit for an arrow to take to another station where the crossbow is located? Please.

Crush and Wolf are my early faves.

They really need to have water underneath the hand bike. It is faster to start across, fall off, and climb up the ladder.

I think having to swim to the ladder would be more of an equalizer.

One of my fondest childhood memories is of sitting on the couch with a plate of mom's fresh cookies and some American Gladiators on the tube. Those were the days.

After the show was cancelled in 95, the American Gladiators still performed at a dinner show in Orlando for a few years. I went to it once and it was pretty cool. A few original gladiators were still around.

This show is so extreme. I'll bet they consuminate a lot of electrolytes to fuel their muscle-ators.

The newest one sucked because they didn't have Crush in any of the events.

They definitely need to cut the jibber-jabber and do one or more events. And for the love of god, bring back Atlasphere!

Ha, I thought the same thing last night.

I don't understand how the cheerleader got on the show and was unable to do the 8 foot wall climb. It took her almost three minutes to get over. Wasn't that in the qualifying events?

I also think it's kind of weak that they're going to playoffs already after only six shows. If nothing else, they could call this the first half of the season and bring in another six.
