Anyone else going to watch it tonight?

I can't wait. It is truly an American phenomenon. "normal" people being physically dominated for an hour by some musclebound steroid jockey in spandex with a faux attitude problem?

Gotta love it!

Realizing i missed the show was honestly the saddest part of my 08 thus far.

Is it going to be on weekly on Sundays at 9 Pacific?

The show was very exciting I thought. The original American gladiators is definitely better. BTW WOLF BLOWS, that dude is a clown. Oh and I thought it seemed very scripted of what contestants would say and all.

What's your sufu name so i can neg rep you. Wolf is amazing. He was by far the best powerballer and he front flip powerbombed a guy 10 feet in the air.

That was one of the things that is keeping the show from reaching epic status. The scripting is really annoying for the contestants. If they were allowed to make their own awkward responses and they didn't do so much editing with the crowd and everything, it would be out of this world. Still great though.

yea the scripting is really annoying, especially after the gladiators dont get them and they have to act all angry etc. its so pathetic. hogan sucks, and the answer are so wierd especially with that marine girl, it seemed like the marines payed them to talk about how great they were etc. at points it seemed like she was trying to remember lines instead of just give a response.

There shouldn't be any responses. The interviews are the stupidest things ever. Every response is the same. They shouldn't ask questions, the hosts should simply give their most honest opinions and just make fun of the contestants. Or they should take a page out of WWE wrestling and have very funny color commentary. I really hate WWE but at least they know how to make color commentary funny (my mom watched it when I was younger and that is how I know). It looks like the show is too much like the original. Way too much set up and not enough games.

Cut out the interviews and set up and you can squeeze in a few more games. Some of the games are really boring when they're only a minute long and the pre- and post- interviews take 2 minutes to do.

I will continue to watch though. I hope an executive is watching and realizing what is wrong with the show and what is right with the show and reformulates the show.

This show reminds me of Most Extreme Challenge (MXC) but not as funny and a lot more physical. But it could definitely use MXC's color commentary.
