Since the Chicagoland area has gifted me an extra week for this boot season, I figured I might as well wear some good ones while I can before the season of swamp ass begins. Trunk Show Higgins Mill in burgundy shell (regular old horse butt shell, not any of this newfangled ballsack shell that's apparently coming up).

I love how the TS brings people out of hiding.

Also, if anyone needs trees, Amazon has a 2 for 45$ on Woodlore trees (direct from Woodlore store). I ordered some trees this weekend.

Yes it definitely has that power haha. As far as should trees go, I have several shoe trees I was planning to sell. I sold a lot of my shoe collection but I still have trees for most of those pairs. My wife would be grateful to have have them out of the house if I can ever find the motivation to sort through them and list them lol.

Hello dear friends!

Curious about the Newman/2014 last loafer sizing. I Brannock 12D, I wear an 11.5D Alden Van loafer without socks (good fit), and a 12 Alden Barrie/Trubalance (loose in most foot, but need for toe space). I was never able to get an acceptable fit in the AE 65 last because I have a wide forefoot. Any thoughts on whether I would be a 11.5 or 12 in the AE loafers?

Thanks!

I would definitely say start at 12. Van loafers are 11EE for me; I generally have to make 11.5E work for AE.

Hmm...If it's a new brand, I don't really know who's specializing in 2E loafers. You got me stumped.
Hopefully they’ll ship soon and I can post! Really really hoping they work…they’ll be my new “project loafers” to replace my beat up too narrow Maritimes. I feel like half the outside vertical part is underfoot because of that. (11.5E because 11EEE wouldn’t work due to vamp volume and 11.5EE wasn’t made)

Ended up getting a few pair in the sale. Wearing the Antique Hickory PA today.

Also picked up the Carbon Broadstreets although I was going to exchange them as they have what appears to be a dye spot on the toe cap but AE is out in my size. Going to hold on for now as they aren't listed final sale, If need be, I'll blend in some black polish on the toes. Picked up some Alpha woven sneakers but haven't worn them yet.

Good pants, too. Where are they from? Are they Banana Travelers?

Maiden voyage for my Brown Nubuck Hamilton! On a flight to Vegas for an overnight work trip. Figured the Dainite soles would hold up to the 100 degree temps on black asphalt.

I checked AE's site today to see if there's anything in my size on sale. They have a pair of these in gray for $250. Not bad. I noticed they now have "final sale" items, and this falls into that category. Does anyone have them in gray on here? I have a $50 Amex credit I can use until the end of June, but probably will just wait and see what develops with the TS this year.

The magnet suede ones? I have them, and I probably wouldn't get them again. I liked them at first, but the color of them just doesn't go with literally anything I own.
