i think, it's time to get me some aldens soon...

they wont fit you, too flat, too narrow for you feet - trust me on that!

Used to ogle these in the shop, 'Oh no, Sir, they never go on sale!'. Gulp. Took the plunge.

C&J Pembroke, Double sole with Dainite.

certainly i do. i just heard good things about their modified last or aberdeen last. i do not recall correctly.

strange what happened to the pair sri already mailed(it was rejected by austrian customs, what makes it even stranger) to me, but now it's gone...

M last is ok, i know those that have it love it, i have tried but it fail me - i have a soft spot for Aldens but i just can not find a last that is suitable for my high arch, which make me wonder if all Americans have flat feet

I have high arches and narrow heels and I'm an American. I find Aldens Hampton last provides me the best fit. I have to admit my one pair of C&J's fits me better than any pair of Aldens I've ever tried.

a fair number of paprika customers, who are americans, have aldens, too. i'm owed a thrifted pair, i can play around. i don't have to worry, this would be my only pair of shoes. i'm an addicted local buyer, no worries.

    More on this please.

And have you ever seen or heard of a suede or nubuck strap?

^ I know you asked Gazman, but AFAIK the 'cashmere' part is just what Panerai calls the colour of that particular strap (I think they call it 'Gold Cashmere').

As for a nubuck strap I would be surprised if Gaz doesn't have this.
