I agree with you guys somewhat about the tearing. The horse skin on these boots is already very worn looking so the tears don't really add much to the overall look. However, the shoes I received actually have far less severe tears than those seen in the store's picture. The largest tear on mine is only 1/4 the size of the one shown in the pictures and unnoticeable from a distance.

Yeah, I don't mind how the distressing looks. My main objection to the tears is more practical-- a weak point in the leather that could act as a snag point. Although I'm very easy on shoes so it likely will not be a problem.

Yes, they're from darklands. Package came in only 5 days with no customs fees. I really like how the Augustas feel on my feet. They feel more comfortable than any other boot-like shoes I own.

also only sw seems to stock BoO XSs on a regular basis - which is crucial in this case since the batiste runs half a size large.
