That's probably a sane approach. But I've been described as a "quality fetishist" and I find that to be pretty much true as I obsess about it even though all I have is a perceived/inferred sense of quality rather than a truly informed opinion. Can't claim that it's rational or not stupid, but honestly it's at least 50-60 percent of why I'm into clothes. It's related to my compulsive buying of "good deals" too so maybe even more than 50-60 percent. The rest is how it looks as an object (Rather than how it looks on me) and my collector/hoarder tendencies.
Ohwell, we all have different goals/reasons to be here I guess. I like my stuff though and I guess that's what's most important to me :)

I completely understand, it's a thoroughly male approach to clothing. Men like specifications and beasting on numbers, factoids, etc. That's why we have successful professional sports industries, consumer technology, etc, That it has trickled into high fashion, it's admittedly kind of weird, but yeah understandable at this point.
As a maker of clothing, I wish it wasn't so hardcore sometimes, I mean, like the zipper discussions - really not as big of a deal as it's made out to be, but I am just as guilty as others sometimes when it comes to this stuff - I love it. I love all kinds of things that require memorized knowledge of trivia and the most inconsequential things, and so I am happy to be doing a job where I can recycle that knowledge and make it useful.

But in the end, it's still clothes, and they're mostly for wearing and looking good in

How big is it

Isn't that a bit of a personal question?

Maybe 10" at the base, 8.5" tall when laid flat. Big enough that there's a little bit of extra material at the crown when I wear it, but nothing of Legend of Zelda proportions.

This is on the one I'm keeping; I never tried the other one on, and it's already boxed up.

I dont really know if Heat Tech works, but I lived in a really cold place and had to wear two sets of HT top and bottom on the really cold days. Fun to sleep in though.

Sleeping in da nude is the only option

Aren't you the "compliments mean you are dressed ******" guy? How to tell if you are being complimented for the "right" reasons?

Yeah I said that before didn't I? However, nobody said I looked "nice" when wearing the jun leather. Instead the comments appear to be solely about the jacket itself, not my overall outfit-- e.g. people coming up and running their hands over the leather.

Only thing I don't like about that jun is the small zipper on the chest. I don't get it. Fit is perfect on that model though.

The jacket fits me almost exactly like it does that model! Very slim with just the right amount of looseness. Also, I like how the upper arms are cut looser with extra fabric than is the rest of the jacket (as opposed to being tight in the upper arms like my Julius leather). The Julius makes me look hyper-skinny, whereas the jun looks more balanced on me.

I really like Danish furniture. My parents have had the same solid teak dining room table for decades and yet it continues to look timelessly stylish.
