Every single time i see Golden Goose shoes on SSense, I am struck by a one-two punch of how ugly and how expensive they are.

The liquid-dipped CCP wannabes this season are the first thing I've ever seen from the brand that evoked a response other than disgust.

So, someone tell me why I shouldn't buy these Fear of God Jungle sneakers. I'm more and more looking into the LA streetwear/leather jacket and slightly skeezy sneakers/faux skater thing that got me into fashion originally anyway:

Oh, and does anyone know the sizing? lol. Between these, and the Golden Goose obsession (seriously, the Midstars and the Slides look great on - and the brogueing on the midstars in the neutral colors is seriously both understated and very balanced) you guys are thinking I'm losing my mind, Foo style.

Because the suede military trainers look better, and you should get those instead.

Any suggestions on black leather derbies? Ideally Raf at discounted price (had to throw mine out last year). I heard Church's makes shoes for Raf and Shannon is close but looks a bit too chunky

Are you looking for smooth calf with leather sole? A lot of derbies seem to come with dainite/rubber. I have a pair of those Raf derbies in pebble grain and they are made in Italy. Maybe by Testoni or Santoni or something like that. They have the producer stamp on the edge, but I don't know which it is (it's a little starburst).

Not really a fan of those FoG sneakers, but I do kinda wish there were more sneakers for dudes with a slightly chunkier / platform sole. Like this Adidas samba variant is pretty cool but women's only obv. (Well unless you have small enough feet I guess).
